Welcome to the 2024 North Fork Trails Association activity calendar! Weather and other circumstances keep things a bit fluid, but the schedule below has most of the principle elements in place — enough for planning purposes, certainly.

All that being said, here’s the fixed part of our calendar through the end of this year. Use the “Contact Us” page if you have questions.

Wednesday, July 10, 1:00pm-4:00pm – Summer Interlocal meeting at Sondreson Hall, sponsored this year by North Fork Preservation Association!

Saturday, July 20, 8:30am – Trail 4 maintenance. (Also on Aug 3.)

Saturday, September 21, 9:00am – Trail 4 hike; depart from the Walker’s or meet at the trailhead. This is mostly just a hike to evaluate what needs to be done for next year – not that we won’t do some clean-up, if needed.

The search for Trail 4 is what got our organization started. So, here’s a chance to see it, if you haven’t already, or simply to visit an old friend. As many of you know, this is a somewhat strenuous trail until it reaches the ridgetop. However, we don’t plan on setting any land speed records.

Loppers and folding saws optional, but don’t forget bear spray and lunch.

Saturday, October 5, 8:30am – Coal Creek Coal Ridge  Trail No. 239 end-of-season hike. Cancelled.

Wednesday, October 9, 5:00pm – NF Trails 11th Annual Meeting, at the Rittenburg’s, 1276 Long Bow Trail. Also, there’s an optional trails walk around the area starting at 4:00pm. Leave your gear at home; none of it is needed for this event! The Rittenburgs will supply the main course, with the rest of us bringing side dishes. (If you can’t manage that part, show up anyways.) Please let Jim Rittenburg know (Jim.Rittenburg@icoptix.com) if you are coming and what you are bringing so that they can prepare accordingly!
